1 How to Measure

Grab a soft measuring tape and wear a well-fitting, unpadded bra (or go braless) for the most accurate results.

Band size: Measure snugly around your ribcage, directly under your bust, right where a bra band would sit. Keep it level all the way around and snug, not tight. Round to the nearest whole number.

Right and Left breast measurement: Starting at the center of your chest (your breastbone), measure across the fullest part of that breast to the side of your body, roughly where the back clasp would meet halfway around your ribcage. Do this separately for each side. Since about 60% of women have some natural asymmetry, your two numbers may not match. That's expected, not a flaw.

Tip: measure each side twice and use the more consistent number. A little patience here means a much better fit later.
Land between two sizes? No problem. Enter the fraction, like 17.25" or 17.5", and we'll calculate the best fit for you. As a rule of thumb: a quarter inch (.25) rounds down to the smaller cup, and a half inch (.5) or more rounds up to the next one.

  • According to our research, about 60% of women have asymmetrical boobs, but this is a condition that affects women throughout their lives. From early puberty lack of development, to changes during menopause, boob asymmetry is a constant for many women. Your monthly cycle can also impact your boob asymmetry, causing your boobs to fluctuate even on a weekly basis. While there is a lack of conversation regarding boob asymmetry, having asymmetrical boobs is extremely common!

  • Measuring for asymmetrical boobs is super easy! First, take your band size. To do this, take your measuring tape and wrap it around your ribcage, directly under your bust, where the bra brand would sit. Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight or too loose. Note the measurement in inches. If the measurement is even, that’s your band size. If the measurement is odd, round up to the nearest even inch, that’s your band size. For each cup size, you’ll need to measure each boob individually. First, take the measuring tape and place it in the middle of your chest. Take the tape over the largest part of the boob’s bust and bring it to the middle of your back. Ensure the tape is parallel to the floor so that no extra inches are added. Take note of this measurement (in inches) and measure your other boob. Now, it’s time for some ALGE-BRA. Take your band size and divide by 2. Then take each boobs measurement and subtract the band. The difference between the band and boob measurements is your cup size.

    Difference in:

    1”= A cup

    2”= B cup

    3”= C cup

    4”= D cup

    5”= DD cup

  • Contrary to popular belief, many women struggle with their bra’s comfort due to poor fit. Your bra should be snug, but not too tight to the point of your bra leaving a mark on your skin. Your boobs should fit into your cups similarly. If your bra is too large, your boobs won’t fill the cup causing gapping. If your bra is too small, your boobs will over fill the cup, causing spillage.
